Hey shawn, I know how you feel. It was pretty hard for me to come to terms with not being straight also. It actually took me a while to come to terms with it. Id say it took me several years to finally accept myself. After a while, you'll feel more comfortable about it.

it will take a bit but it helps when you have supportive friends who accept it and when you talk to them you will actually become more comfortable to talking about it and accepting it...... took me two years to realize this

Personally I don't know when I found out or came to terms, but thanks to my Google web search history I've been riding the rainbow train since I was 11. That reminds me. Google keeps to much information. Kinda creepy.

Honestly? It took me like 4 years to really come to terms with it and accept the fact that I'm gay. I realized it fairly early but didn't want to believe it. Everyone accepts it at a different rate though. I know it can be hard accepting it and coming to terms with it. It is for a lot of people. You're not alone hun.

For me I knew for sure I was gay or at least bi at around 12. Finally came to terms with it and accepted it at around 13. And came out to everybody freshman year :) .

Gosh maybe 5 months? I went through this whole 'bisexual' phase - which, of course I kept to myself - but then I'm like, "Hmm, I like boys and I only think girls are 'pretty'. I could see myself with them, but I know I wouldn't ever be happy." This was at the beginning of my freshman year of high school, so two years ago this month.
