Hey,
This year is the last year for me at high school, and I am contemplating one thing, doing an assembly then coming out to everyone as bi. All I want to know is whether or not I am crazy as **** or not. thanks again guys. :)

That is pretty crazy. I guess the only thing I can say is what all the kids are sayin'....#YOLO!

How would you manage to arrange an assembly in the first place?

It's up to you if you can manage to do so.

I wouldn't do it as an assembly, i'd hate teachers to know I'm gay tbh. Just say it to people ;D

you don't know what kind of reactions you'll get. i'd just tell my closest friends if they don't already know. its not being "safe", its being "wise"

Telling the entire school is a bad idea. You would be a target for every homophobic dickhead there. Best to tell people you trust, and people who are cool with it.

I wouldnt if i were you. In my opinion, people who do stuff like that are just starved for attention. I mean a lot of the kids at your school are not going to accept you, it's a fact. But if you create an assembly just to come out, people are going to think that is weird and unnecessary. This is my opinion, but if you feel strongly enough, do it i guess.

I never understood the whole "coming out" or broadcasting the sexuality thing.. If somebody asks, tell them the truth. Otherwise, there is no reason to worry about it.

I wouldn't tell everyone, only a few trusted friends and family.

Not an assembly. Just tell a few people and let them do their thing.

I wouldnt do that, its a bad idea. I view my sexuality as something the people I want to know will know, the people I dont wont. I've told all my friends and some family, but the people at school who need to know are the ones who do. The other people dont matter, if they arent your friends now they arent going to suddenly become your friend. You have the friends you have now for a reason, and they've been with you through the whole thing, so just tell them ;)

Why would you make your sexuality a giant public spectacle like that?

this year I'm finally telling all my friends I'm bi, but I would not do an assembly. I think the assembly thing is really crazy. I'm sorry.

That's exactly what to do. Ive told 3 people I'm bi I am getting ready to tell a few more. But please don't embarrass yourself.

calling a huge assembly will make you seem like some kind of attention seeker, just tell it to your mates

I wouldn't suggest that. tell your friends and let it go from there. A giant assembly, to me, would be a complete disaster. I could imagine everybody laughing if I would have done that.

This was only bought up because it slipped out on a long school trip to someone I don't trust as an innuendo and I know he will spread it like butter upon bread.
Wonder.

Do what I did and say it on facebook. You could be even more like me and wear a rainbow outfit the day you post it. And post a picture you drew of two guys kissing the day before.
I have problems...
To be serious, you could do it on facebook. Lots of people will see it. Don't announce it at an assembly. Just 'cause it works in movied doesn't mean it works in real life.
