Basically, I'm probably one of the most shy people you will ever meet. I've liked a few girls in the past and can just never build up the courage to ask them out. To me its not your simple go online, look for advice and do it because I'm just so self-conscious, mostly about my small lisp which most people say they don't notice anymore but when it is pointed out I act like its worse than it actually is. Can anyone help me in anyway because the usual "Just ask her, nothing to lose" thing never works. My friends always tell me that and even try to edge me on when I have an opportunity but I just can't do it always thinking they won't have even the slightest interest in me.

If you are going to ask a Giro out the most successful thing you have to do is be confident in yourself if you are going to second guess yourself you will have a harder time.. one thing I do with my friends is we will pick out a girl for each other and we have to ask them out or they get to punch you your arm ad hard as they want and you have to do 10 push ups right there on the spot if you don't it is like pain therapy. Start with a girl that you don't find attractive at all one that you hope she says no and go ask her out just to build confidence it may sound mean and it kinda is but it will help soo. Much

I've got the same problem. I don't really know what to say, since I still deal with it, but you could always write her a note and leave it somewhere she'll see it.

To be honest, I could ask someone I don't find remotely attractive out easy. Because I have myself in the state of mind that its a joke. But when it comes to someone I find really pretty and actually have feelings for them I just shut down

Nice to know someone can relate! Did you ever manage overcome the problem? A note seems like a good idea but I try to be one of those face to face people because I always overhear girls saying they would prefer it that way

That Is the feeling you need think of it as a joke and have fun with it cause it will be harder for them to say no make her laugh! Face to face is the best way BTW. One really good thing that will help is flowers I promise it will work surprisingly not that many girls have received flowers before she will love them

Kind of. I'm not quite as shy as I used to be. I got a summer job at a store called pacsun, and it's pretty chill there. My job was basically was just to talk to people all day. It kind of forced me not to be shy. I'm still pretty bad around girls though. I'm fine around girls that I'm not attracted to, and am normally pretty outgoing and flirty, but as soon as one of us starts developing feelings for the other, I get super awkward. It really sucks.
And face to face is awesome, but it doesn't hurt to build up to that. Maybe text her or talk on facebook or something, and then start saying 'hi' in the hallway or something.
