I am in love with someone, and I will probably never see that person again and I am heartbroken,so I wanted to know if there was anything I could do to cheer myself up.

Unfortunately, it seems that you will have to pick up the pieces and move on. What you could do now is just go out and do something fun to keep this person off of your mind. Go to the movies or do an activity that you like to do. Hang out with friends or be around family. Have fun. Laugh a lot. It will take some time, but eventually you will get over this person. And plus, know that there's always hope that you'll find someone new in the future.

There isn't really much to do about it, and I'm sorry to say that. All you can really do is pick up and move on. If you stay stuck on one person you aren't allowing yourself to move on or grow in any way. Meet somebody new, there are plenty of fish in the sea. I know how hard it can be to move on when you truly love somebody in such a way; but it's the only thing you can do.
