How much does underwear matter to you? Do you want your (hypothetical) bf to wear a certain kind of underwear or does it nor matter? Are there any types/styles that you would simply hate him/her wearing?

Matters in the comfort stakes and is it ok for what I am doing and wearing.

briefs under shorts or school trousers
boxers with denims etc

jock - swimmers jock - lite or heavy for sports - comprsion shorts with cup also - What anyone else wears is thier choice.

I wouldn't really care what underwear he wore...if any for that matter haha. I guess the kind I would like most if I had to pick would be for him to wear briefs; they look sexy!

It does matter to me. As one of the above posters said, wearing the rt underwear for the the rt reason is important me. (ie sports, going out, etc.) Idk, you want to look good so why not look gd in underwear too.
Now as far as my bf is concerned, he can wear whtever he likes and makes him comfortable but he knows wht I like too so it's not an issue ;)
