Okay, last year while helping my uncle bring stuff into our new apartment we were unloading the glass cabinet, which was a pain to lift since my uncle dosn't think, he told me to hold one end up while he tipped it, and of course I had to listen and not correct him because he wouldn't listen as he tipped it i had to lean back and eventually felt my lower back crack and my legs started to feel weak then later that day i felt the region that had cracked and it felt like it was out of line with the rest of my back and not knowing that it could mean paralyses in my legs I didn't tell my mom untill the next month. well today while trying to keep a shopping cart full of groceries from veering off into the road my back cracked again and soon feeling started to return to my legs and feet as well as strength in my legs. i told my mom and she said that it was a good thing. i checked my back a few mins ago and the part of my spine that cracked feels like the rest of my spine and that it is aligned. just curious abot why i lost feeling and strength in my legs the first time it cracked.

It could be that the misalignment applied pressure on a bundle of nerves that prevented you from having full motor control over your legs. So its not that the nerves were cut (which would have led to a permanent condition) they were just being hindered.

Well I'm glad I can feel my legs again, it was startng to get annoying that my legs always felt tired.

You had numbness/weak legs and a misaligned spine for a month? You are a trooper.
As the above poster said you probably had pinched a nerve, and when you bent your back in a certain way it knocked things back in to place.

I think you might have lost circulation because of how it wasn't straight.

Actually It didn't hurt, unless I bent backwards.

I think Bruce said it right, likely a pinched nerve. I sometimes have those in my back when I sit to long at the school desk or computer desk without moving a lot. Just like you I crack my back and the pain goes away. Glad you are better.

Could be the nerve and circulation pinched, then over time and you say a year - Your body adapts to the injury so you just manage but in a differant way Good to hear you are better so no more shifting things for ur uncles
I share this with a guy who is vision impaired hence the yellow font.
I know some people have left negative comments but this is good for a 15 yr old and it does let him see how good vT is

I wouldn't think that would be the problem because none of the main blood vessels that feed the legs go through the spine. It was probably a bunch of nerves were cremped by the unalignment.

Damn wow, how did you manage? Wow but it's great that youre back to normal! Might want to make sure everything is okay with your back and see a chiropractor or doctor?

I lost (according to the physio) 40% strength in my right leg after a hurt my back dancing. All back and sorted - a physio / osteopath/ chiropractor can detect and correct this sort of thing right away. Next time get it looked at and it could all be gone in a week. Glad you are ok now.

Off you cut of circulation your lower area would start to turn gray, I bet, from my own experiance, that you probably had a slipped disk, which are quit common, according to the local highschool trainer.
