Question about puberty forums

I noticed that a thread about how to buy condoms was locked for breaking rules. I was just wondering why that is against the rules. Isn't it a good thing for teens to want to protect themselves? I was just curious.

The mod who locked it will leave the reason at the end of the thread as to why it was locked. It could have been bumped (posted in after 2 or 3 months of no posts) or contained inappropriate material. Read through here (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/announcement.php?f=18&a=241) to find out what is and is not allowed in the P101 forums.. Mods won't lock the thread for no reason.

It was locked because it was asking for tips on how to get condoms which is against the rules. What I'm asking is why is it against the rules?
