Honestly, I dunno. As long as it's not hurting you or anyone else, I think you're fine.

Ok so I know there are like 3000 threads on straight guys who like gay porn.

I'm not asking if it's normal or not, what I wanna know, is do you guys think watching gay porn is a sin for a straight guy? I'm a Christian, and every time I watch porn, I feel bad after I watch it. I know we all sin, and one sin isn't worse than another, but I really wanna watch porn. Do y'all think its bad to watch porn for a Christian, and if you're a Christian and watch porn, does it bother you to watch it?

Thanks :)

me too. I just watch it but if I feel really bad about it I dont.

Porn itself is a sin. So is masturbation. And pre-marital sex. And homosexuality. Soooo.... It's like a super-sin I guess. But if you like it, then who's stopping you? I don't like it, so I don't watch it. Not because the bible tells me not to.

I don't see how admiring the human body in any way could be considered a sin. We are all sexual beings deep down and that can't be denied or turned off. Whether we get enjoyment from watching two guys or two girls together, it doesn't matter. To me the human form is one the most natural things that should be appreciated.

Gay porn is only a sin if you allow it to be. I can't tell you what to believe so if you don't want to sin, and if gay porn is sin, don't watch gay porn.

I think you should question whether or not god actually exists at all... Seriously, stop worrying so much! You'll be fine!

Thanks :)

The issue is do we ask forgiveness and repent. It's about relationship with Christ, so treat him like you would as if he's sitting there with you or treat it like you are wronging your best friend:

Saying we're sorry without stopping the activity is worthless. Actually, it's worse than that, It's a lie we're living. If you do something that your BF doesn't like, but tell him your sorry and keep doing it. Your "sorry" is worthless because you don't mean it because you aren't willing to change.

So if we don't repent (stop the activity) then what? You can tell him "I wanna stop, but I can't. It's like "in me" to masturbate/watch porn, it's like breathing almost. Can ya help me with wantin' to stop? Can you please reduce my desire or need to do this? Clearly I need help, because on my own... well... you know how that's going because you know everything. So I am sorry I'm disappointing you, but I don't have a clue how to stop, so my guilt or being sorry isn't worth much. Please help me stop. Oh, and while we're at it, help me understand You better and what you want me to do with my life and how to live it."

- THAT'S honest!

What Jesus wants more than anything from you is.. you. Daily contact. Daily seeking. He wants a relationship with you. A lot like your best friend. You can come to him with problems, but also tell him what you're excited about. It could be as simple as you're excited that school is out or you're worried that school is going to start back up or... whatever is on your mind or whatever you're going through. He's interested.

What he doesn't want is to be treated like a forgiveness vending machine or an I'm in trouble help me now vending machine that you ignore all the rest of the time. People wonder why their prayers aren't answered? Well, if ya ignore someone completely and only call 'em up when you need something, that gets pretty old. Not much would make Him happier than you checking in with him 20 times a day. It could be as simple as a quick thought between classes.

At some point, if you really want a relationship with Jesus you'll have the desire to study the bible and what he said and put it into context. He'd love that because he wants you and one way of getting you is for you to understand him.

If ya have a concern, take it to him.

Rules/commandments were given to us to protect us because he loves us. They aren't there to "do" or not do so we're accepted by him. He already accepts you, completely.

Sin separates us from him. Sin hurts us.

If you think about it, he doens't need us to "do" anything for him because he can already do anything. What we have is free will and he'd like you to choose him. That's huge. It's the one thing he won't do is force himself on you or anyone. Jesus would love it if you'd choose to have a relationship with Him. That's waaaaaaaay more important than our sins. Not even close.

Be ready though, he'll change your heart, how you live, what motivates you. It's all good though.

Peace

If you like to watch gay porn and you're not harming anyone by doing it, then why focus on whether or not it would be considered a "sin" by a religious denomination? Furthermore, who decides what is and is not sinful? I think religions should shift the focus away from sin to a more compassionate and understanding view point.

EDIT: Just noticed that I got a -rep for this post, which has prompted me to clarify that I'm not trying to bash any religions or make a determination as to whether or not porn is sinful. I don't feel that it would ever be my place to do either.

Any type of porn is a 'sin', straight porn, lesbo porn, gay porn, it doesn't matter.

I think that since this topic focuses on religion and the definition of sin, I think it's important to point out that the Christian figure resembling absence of sin, Jesus, consistently practiced inclusiveness (within religious and historical context).

PLEASE NOTE: THIS POST DOES NOT ADVOCATE ANY RELIGION IN PARTICULAR, NOR DOES IT ADVOCATE THE PRACTICE OF RELIGION. IT IS MERELY BEING OFFERED AS RELEVANT VALUE TO THIS TOPIC.

With that said, I fail to see how anyone could be under the false presumption that they have the divine authority to determine what does and does not constitute sinful behavior.

I'm not religious or anything, but if your watching something you like, I don't think its something to be ashamed of. Instead you should just do more of what you like, because that expresses who you truly are.

If you enjoy watching it, go ahead! You should follow God, but in the end, he wants you to have a good life. God is the most forgiving person. He'll forgive you and understands.

I personally don't think there is anything wrong with watching porn, everybody has urges that they need to fulfill. If you want to watch porn then watch it, if you feel to strongly about it because of how religious you are, then simply don't watch it, it's all up to you.
But like I said, I don't see anything wrong with porn.

I thought masturbating was a sin because you kill potential life. Also if God created the universe, so technically he gave us the ability to do that for a reason.

I think you are the only one to be able to answer that question fo your self. Gay porn or straight porn are the same, they are meant to sexually stimulate the viewer. Humans are very sexually pleasure driven
