Apparently after the incident where he said he was going from a rap star to a "country singer", he then went back to rapping.

He's now Snoop Lion and is going to start making reggae music.

I couldn't care less about Snoop Dogg or his music, but the name change is pretty amusing. It's like all the "popular" artists are having a contest to see who can have the dumbest name.
