Random mole-like thing

So this thing seems to have grown a couple of inches above my belly button. It is like a mole but a lot flatter (it still pokes out a tiny bit). It isn,t brown or pink though but skin coloured if not, a bit paler. What troubles me is that it hasn't been there before.

Well, this is hard to diagnose without a picture really... Does it feel as though it is filled with liquid/pus or just a bump of skin? Have you had any trauma to that area recently? From just the information you've given it could be a variety of things.
If you are really worried and it doesn't disappear by morning (which can happen) then book an appointment with your doctor just to make sure. Better to 'waste' their time than risk it being dangerous

It's like a mole, a bump in the skin. There has been no trauma to that area whixh I'm aware of.

I think it would be best to see a dermatologist about this. As Mystique said, rather not take the risk.

Possibly skin cancer, if it's discolored.
Definitely see a doctor.

Its kind of hard to say what it is by your description.
Could be a stretch mark, depending upon how it looks. (no you don't need to be pregnant to get a stretch mark)
It could also be discoloration of the skins pigment. I'm not sure if that's harmful or not.
Show someone, see what they think. Go to a doctor if you think its harmful.
