I like some of his music and def like his videos. Just watched a movie called "This is it" that was pretty cool. It was video of preparation and rehearsals for his 50 sold out dates in England that was also called "This is it".
Blows my mind that he'd sell out 50 shows. Looked like it would have been incredible. Hope I make some time to read about Jackson this summer.

He gave millions of his personal fortunes to AIDS foundations, family programs, and other general charitable causes. He was a big advocate for LGBT, too. More can be found here: http://www.allmichaeljackson.com/charities.html

Oh, please. He was declared not guilty in a court of law. I don't have too much knowledge of the case, but from what I've read the evidence against him was weak at best and the "victimized" family was shown to have a history of misbehavior and lying. Unless you have actual evidence that he "paid his way out" of his trial – and I highly doubt you do – then you should stop making false accusations.
I like a lot of Michael Jackson's music, especially Bad and Dangerous. Two great albums. I've never really paid much attention to Thriller, but it's catchy nonetheless.

The evidence stacked against Michael was, as Justin said, very weak at best. On top of that, the statue of limitations should have been implemented. You're convinced everyone who is proven not guilty in court OBVIOUSLY PAID THEIR WAY OUT OF IT. That's not every single not guilty ruling, Bert. Michael was not guilty, the families that accused him were looking for his money, and the public never trusted him again because of the accusations. You've fallen in with public opinion and not looked deeper into the case. If you think Jackson's good deeds are overshadowed by very VERY sketchy accusations, you've got no basis for your opinion on his trials.

Michael Jackson privately requests permission to attend funeral services for little Craig Fleming, a two-year old boy whose mother threw him over the side of a Los Angeles bridge along with his four-year-old brother, before jumping to her own planned death. The mother and four-year-old survived the incident, although the child, Michael, was badly battered, requiring medical aid. Michael Jackson presented a contribution towards Michael Fleming's medical expenses and founded a special trust fund for Michael's care. Jackson later dedicated the song Childhood on the HIStory album to the memory of Craig Fleming with these words, "Childhood is dedicated to Little Craig Fleming and his surviving brother, Michael, for whom a scholarship fund has been established to ensure that his childhood ushers in a future of all possibilities.

Not my favourite singer, but I do like quite a number of his songs (Billie Jean, Thriller, Beat It, Blood Is On The Dancefloor, Earth Song, Smooth Criminal etc.) and in the music industry he is most certainly one of a kind that is worthy of anyone's respect :)

He had vitiligo, a disease that's common in black people which causes the brown pigments of their skin to lose their natural color. He had plastic surgery for sure, but he did NOT change his skin color. If Michael had changed his skin color, he would have to go under almost constant bleach treatments to keep it white.
Michael had a lot of problems. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he had some form of mental illness. He didn't have the best childhood either because his father, Joe Jackson, milked Michael as a kid. Hell, Michael would get vicious beatings if he so much as missed one step in a dance routine for the Jackson Five. That's why he was such a "weird" adult. He honestly tried to live a childhood he never had once he became an adult and got away from his father. It's sad that any human being would go through such a thing, but that doesn't make them insane or freaks. Michael was still a wonderful human being that could showcase some of the best qualities of our nature as humans.

So do you not have sympathy for the fact that he didn't even have a childhood and tried to fix that in a way he deemed possible? He was a freak by media standards.

I watched an old concert of his on tv last year. He was an amazing stage performer.
It's too bad all the personal allegations and his death are also part of what people remember him for.
