So recently about perhaps round about the 25th or 26th of July I have been experiencing pains in my Hip area and around that area, I would not say it was in my hips about in that general area not as far to say it was entering my groin but sort of below my hip area and around it.

So basically around last Thursday I started experiencing a mild pain in my right Hip area. Now I was very concerned as it went on and off for quite sometime throughout that day, the pain then went to my left side and then at both sides for a period of time on and off. This then continued at varies different] times until Saturday/Sunday.

Since then the pain is a lot less frequent and now I can go long periods of time without even feeling anything. Sure it still comes but it comes and and goes away within a short time. So I am thinking I might be on the road to recovery

So I was thinking. I am going to give it until the end of the week and if it is still bugging me then I am going to make an appointment at the doctors. I am just waiting to see if I am in the recovery period.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone had any possible idea to what is troubling me....I am more just curious to see if anyone has any thoughts.

Note: the pain is only in the hip area/around that area. It's not above the area, it is slightly below the hips. The pain is not spreading anywhere else.

Here are two searched (http://www.webmd.com/pain-management/guide/hip-pain-causes-and-treatment) links (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003179.htm) on generic hip pain.
It sounds like you may have aggrivated it a little, and it is properly recovering. Taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen is perfectly fine, as long as it is in the correct dosage.
If there is still frequent pain after a week, then I'd see a doctor, just in case it's something more serious.

Is it like under your hip and in your groin? If it is you might have tore a tendon or pulled your hip flexor. I actually pulled my hip flexor recently and had to get a cortisone shot and physical therapy. Do you do any sports? If you do thats most likely what it is. A torn tendon (kind of unlikely) or you hip flexor.

Does the pain radiate down your leg? Do you kind of feel a dull pain in your thigh?
