I'm going to have to share a hotel room with my cousin next week. And I was wondering of it would be socially unacceptable to change or get dressed in the main area of the room and treat it like a locker room or if I would have to step into the bathroom. Also I sometimes sleep in my boxer briefs so would I have to ask if it is ok or just take of my pants?

I would ask her opinion. For example, I would strip in front of my cousin and not really care, but if he did , I'd be uncomfortable. Girls are weird.

Well it depends if your cousin is a guy or girl. If it's a guy, I doubt he would care if you changed in front of him like a locker room. And for sleeping wise, well it all depends on how he acts if you change in front of him. But I don't think a night or two would be that bad if you had to sleep with pjs.

Since it's a male cousin I'd probably sleep in my boxers like I normally would, but get changed in the bathroom. But if he gets changed in front of me then I suppose I'd be okay getting changed in front of him.

yea like pretty much everyone says i think you can assume that you can just strip down in your room. that's what rooms are for. i think it's weird when guys get all shy around each other like that. if he does feel weird he can wait in the bathroom while you change LOL

Since it's a guy, I don't see any issue with changing in front of him or even sleeping in just your boxer briefs. You are both guys, you have the same equipment. Although, if your cousin seems to have an odd reaction to you changing in front of him, then I'd go in the bathroom. But if he doesn't say anything or act weird, then it should be cool.

It shouldn't be a problem to just get changed infront of each other. I have many times with my cousins when we camp and share a tent or when they stay here with us and share my room. I have even camped with my uncle a few times and we've changed for swimming and stuff in the tent at the same time and it's no big deal.
