People keep posting things regarding diets and nutrition in the Sports and Fitness categories and I think it is unrelated, but there are no other categories for it on VT, so I just thought that perhaps a Diet and Nutrition forum would be appropriate.

If I were to weigh in on this, I would assume that is where the "Fitness" portion of the section comes in. Thus, I wouldn't think a whole separate forum would be required for Diet and Nutrition

I think the diet topics should go in the Cooking and Food (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=254) forum.

I agree. Diet/Nutrition relates to food, so that would make sense.

I agree. While it could be useful I don't see a high enough demand for it. Cooking and Food seems to be the best option.

There are a variety of forums depending on what it is to do with within the bounds of diet and nutrition. We have cooking and food, sport and fitness and eating disorders. Most threads in my opinion would probably fit into one of those forums depending on its aim. Surely these are enough, and I doubt a new forum would really be all that used.

If you're completely unsure of a spot that fits it perfectly a mod could also move it if it doesn't quite fit. But either the food or sports sections would be best.

I think dietary threads belong in Sports & Fitness as the fitness part of the section is for leading a healthier lifestyle.

People don't use this for diet talk?

Use that instead.

I agree with this, while yes those threads relate to food, its for diet needs which goes with the Fitness part of Sports & Fitness, if you know what I mean.

As everybody else has said, there are other forums applicable to that subject. The need for dieting as a specific section isn't necessary.

It should really depend on the topic matter. If you want to share nutritious, diet recipes or food lists, you could post it in the Cooking and Food forum. If you want to discuss exercising, you would want to post that in Sports & Fitness. Etc.

I like the idea of a separate forum for diet and nutrition, not sure if it would receive enough traffic. But separating it would make it much more easier to find, and maybe be more successful for people trying to find a diet?

I have to agree with Louise.

We have so many sections and depending on the type of question it can fit into those three sections.

If it is really obscure and somehow does not fit anywhere else then I would say that you could put it in "The White Padded Room" as that is a good a place as any.
