You would need a parent's permission under the age of 16 but if they say okay, go for it. Nose piercings are fun and they don't hurt that much. I just got mine done a month ago.

Whatever you do though, do not go anywhere that says they will use a piercing gun. It damages the cartilage and if you do decide to take it out, it's more likely to leave an unwanted scar than if you get it done at a tattoo parlour with a proper needle.

Basically as everyone has said if you can get your parents to agree, go for it you can always take it out, however I just wanted to add in that maybe you should look at your school rules too, some schools don't like piercings I know my friend is being constantly told to take hers out so if its against the rules perhaps its better to wait.

My mother had her nose pierced ages ago, it's left a small dent from where she doesn't wear it no more and the hole has closed over. I don't recommend this if you don't want it in for a long period of time.

It's not always that easy, you know.

But that is a pretty good point. Have you ever seen the movie, "The Punisher"? (the 2004 one.) This guy is tortured by having all his facial piercings torn out. It's pretty gruesome.

If you want a piercing, I would advise that you wait until you can do it without your parents' permission, just to avoid the awkwardness. That way, if you don't want it anymore then it's not like, "oops I spent a ton of money on a piercing and a nose ring and now I have a scar and shit..."

But hey, it's your nose, so do what you want to.

True but think of it this way, if you had to question everything you were going to do Incase you were to get in a fight you wouldn't have much of a life would ya :)?

I suppose the fight thing depends on where your from and if you are prone to fights
