Does anyone know of a VNC program for Linux that will allow me to control my Linux machine from an XP machine? I would prefer one with a simple installer...
-Thanks

What Distro are you running? If you have Ubuntu, just open Synaptic up, and search for "VNC" and you'll get several. "tightvncserver" or "vnc4server" will do. If you install either of those, you should just be able to run "tightvncserver" or "vnc4server" as sudo, and it should give you the instructions. Once you get it set up, just install UltraVNC (http://www.uvnc.com/download/index.html) on your XP Machine and Connect to the Linux Box.
That'll allow you to Remote control it. But, last I checked, won't allow you to control the active session. It'll create a new one. I had to install x11vnc to control the active session in the past. If you're using Gnome, I do believe under "System" and either "Administration" or "Preferences" There is an option for remote control that might work better for you. I haven't messed with that option recently. It might do what you want.

Open a Terminal (I believe you can do this by pressing "Alt+F2" and typing "gnome-terminal" or "xterm", and all you should have to type is "sudo tightvncserver"

Nothing happened, it asked me for a password but nothing happened afterwards. I just ended up using the Remote Desktop Connection and I was able to view it from UltraVNC. Thanks anyways.
EDIT: As soon as I connect to my Linux from UltraVNC the screen immediately freezes. When I move my mouse in UltraVNC I can see it move on the Linux machine, but from UltraVNC, it's stuck on the very first screen it sees when it logs in. Even when I press "refresh screen" it still doesn't fix it... Help please someone..

What about a different VNC Viewer? Like, RealVNC, or TightVNC? Do they do the same thing?

I don't know. Try a different VNC server program.

I tried installing tightvnc and when I run it this is the message I get:
Couldn't start Xvnc; trying default font path.
Please set correct fontPath in the vncserver script.
Couldn't start Xvnc process.
Mumbo jumbo.
Blah blah blah blah.
Anyways... how do I change the default font path?

Is the VNCServer program started on the machine?

Is the VNCServer program started on the machine?
Yes, it is. It even asks me for the password but then it errors.
