Does anyone else do this?

I quite often imagine myself in different situations with different "friends" who aren't actually real people. They situations and friends can vary, but there are some that I sometimes kind of try to play over if I sort of like them or if I keep thinking about them. I think I mostly have to play them in my mind, but sometimes they kind of just come to my mind. Sometimes positive things happen but other times the things that happen can be negative and they can also be things that probably wouldn't happen. I don't get emotionally hurt or upset by the negative ones, but often I find myself wishing that I had people like the nice people in the positive situations, because they are quite idealistic and, even though they have problems (some of the situations involve me trying to help them with their problems), they don't have annoying qualities like most real people do.

I sometimes imagine people I know, but it's mostly imaginary people or the emphasis is on them. In one of the situations, I have magined one of my friends but our relationship was different to how it is in real life.
