I've been writing a story, and a character in it has two gay dads. My question is, what would he refer to them as? Would he call them both "dad"? If you have any idea, please answer.

Dad and daddy, dad and pop, or they could even use first names.

You could do age difference. Dad for the younger father and papa for the older father.

Dad works, because your story isn't all the child's dialogue, no? You could identify which one they are in 3rd person/narrator view if your story includes that.
