Both arranging to meet and backing out are both fairly normal things. Nerves are bound to get the better of you, moreso if it's your first time or one of the first times, so it's no surprise that you did back out of meeting him. As for actually arranging to meet, well that's less common I imagine, most sexual experimentation seems to happen spontaneously, based on my own experience and previous posts on here.
