The butterfly project

I don't know how many of you have heard of this but hopefully more can hear about it too :3
Here are the rules:
1. when you feel like you want to cut, take a marker or pen and draw a butterfly on wherever you feel like cutting.
2. name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that really wants you to get better.
3. NO scrubbing the butterfly off.
4. if you cut before the butterfly is gone, it dies. if you don't cut, it lives.
5. if you have more than one, cutting kills them all.
6. another person may draw them on you. these butterflies are extra special. take good care of them.
7. even if you don’t cut, feel free to draw a butterfly anyways, to show your support. if you do this, name it after someone you know that is suffering right now, and tell them. it could help.

And do something for me please?
Whenever you make a butterfly, tell me :) tell me what you named it and why that name is special to you :)

I have a butterfly on my left leg for my boyfriend Seth, because he tries so hard to help. One on my right leg for my little sister, because even though she has no idea what I've done, I'm trying to get better for her. Then one on my arm, for my Mom. She died when I was a kid, but I know she loves me and that this would break her heart. This was honestly the coolest thing I'd ever heard of.(:

I don't cut anymore and I don't know anyone currently cutting but i just want to say I think this is a really great idea and I hope more people try it and stop cutting through it :)

I just made a butterfly named Jodi. She's put up with so much from me and I've hurt her a lot but she still does everything she can for me. She's one of the greatest friends I have in this world and she prays for me to get better.

I have one on my left arm, named lauren,after my sis, one of my biggest supporters.
one one my right wrist named samual after my little brother.
and one on my neck, named lindsey, after my best and closest friend.

I use this method to help wjth my heroin addiction.

The first time I tried this, every pen I tried to use turned out to be dried up :/
But the next time, I made one and named it after my teacher because he is my inspiration to be a better person.

If you wash it off I'm assuming it dies just like if you were to cut. If you wash it off, how is it supposed to help?

i mean am i supposed to retrace it if it starts wearing off from showers?

You don't have to retrace it but you can. Once it washes off you can just replace it with a new one :)

You can't take a shower and scrub at it, but it will fade over time, so no, I wouldn't retrace it. As long as you don't scrub.

The first one I made I named Regan after a very good friend of mine who understands my feelings and was the one who told me about this the second one I named Dallin after a friend who I have a crush on.

Doesn't help for me, I just try and be around friends that make me laugh and forget about everything :) they treat me the same as ever :D too bad I can't have them around all the time :(
