You stay in touch (:
The visiting sounds good and hopefully the time zones work out for you three. My Cali friends have a hard time getting a hold of me since I'm completely 3 hours behind them in the east coast.
You guys can text, facetime if you have ipods or something, skype if you can do that. I'm sure it'll be fun to hear about each of your daily lives in completely different places.

You just do your best to keep in touch, simple as that. It can be hard and people naturally do grow apart but I have long distance friends who I have been close with for awhile simply because we put effort into making sure we say hi and catch up and talk.

If you are good friends, you'll find a way to stay friends. :) But remember, most people don't meet their lifelong friends until post-secondary school or later. Doesn't mean it can't happen but don't worry too much if you grow apart, it's a part of life.

My mom has been friends with her friend Holly since middle school and they still are very close even though they live several states apart.

But then again, my dad had friends that were his best friends in high school and college that he hasn't talked to in 30 years.

It all just depends on how you come about it. Stay in touch and you may still be friends later on.

I'm just kinda worried about how close we really are. Like one of them makes it a bit confusing, we do hangout a lot, and act like close friends (we make fun of each other all the time) but she's never really given an effort in our friendship (like for all of us to hangout) until recently. She did bake me a really good cake and made everything homemade (fondant and cake mix). Could that be a good indicator that she values me as a friend? (she does love baking, she's gonna become a baker after HS) Like last year I always tried hard for us to hangout as much as possible, like I'd even buy all the stuff needed.

Just try to keep in touch. If you don't you will risk the friendships falling apart.

This happens to a lot of good friends after they leave high school, so try your hardest to stay in touch.

Video chatting, meeting up somewhere, instead of visiting why not all of you guys hang out in mexico or new york for like a week! and just honestly depends on if they want to stay in touch. i know some people just want to cut off from everyone in high school after they finish so best of luck! x
