All of us feel like that, no matter what age we are. I guess all of us are a little stressed about growing and where we stand no matter what. I suggest that you go to the doctor though, and ask him what's up. You should be bigger all-round at 17 - sure, you got some time, but not ALL that long of time. You could ask him if there's any meds or injections you can take to get your growth hormones going, also
Don't worry, there's nothing really to worry about...You could just end up a smaller guy, and you do have a few years to go, which you could see a lot of growth in those next few years! Plus I do hear a lot of stories about 17 y/os who are going through the same thing as you, and most of them catch up anyways
Good luck at the doc's :D

If he does that, he's an ass! :P We all go through this and we all have worries. If you ask the qusetions that I gave you (and a few of your own), which are lagitimate questions, he shouldn't have a big reason to kick you out or laugh at you. If he does, you can complain to someone at the desk about that and hopefully they can help you

it gets oldSame with me. Plus everything is almost easier when you're shorter. Easy to find clothes, shoes; comfortable in airplanes, etc. I wish I was shorter sometimes.

Go see a doctor, he'll tell you what's going on. How tall are your parents, and of what build? That's definitely a huge factor in full-adult size. If your dad is 6'1 and your mom is 5'8" chances are you'll sprout at least another 3-4inches before you reach definite adult height at 21.
5'2" isn't that short for 13... I was only a bit taller than that at 13, and I'd say it's about average for that age.

Kind of off-topic, but I decided I might as well answer TheDude while waiting for a reply from Extra. Anyway, TheDude, you'll be within the height range 5'9"-6'3"... Most likely around 5'11". Those are pretty good height genes having a mother and father around 5'10".

At least you are still growing, and you have potential to keep growing. I'm also 5'6'' or 5'7'', and I'm 15. The problem? I was like 5'5'' or 5'5 1/2'' when I was 14. My body is maturing okay, except my voice (I have to deepen to disguise it). I have not budged an inch this summer (which is bad, really bad). The only thing that grew was my wang, which is the only good thing. My arms, legs, hands, overall stature, nothing. I've been gaining weight too, and I'm 133 lbs (16+ lbs from last year). Well, good thing I have a doctor's appointment right before school starts, and I bought shoes that can make me look 5'8''. So you see? At least you know that you're growing...

That's what my doctor and the charts say... I was also about 5'2'' when I was 12 turning 13. I'm not so sure anymore though...

Well, those are a lot like my genetics. Considering you're 17 already, you'll grow anywhere from 1 inch and be 5'7" up to about 4 inches bringing you to 5'10"... However, somewhere in the middle of that is the most likely. It isn't written in stone, but the most likely adult height you will have is 5'7"-5'8"... Your genetic height potential is 5'8.5", but, not everybody reaches their height potential.
In short: You'll most likely be anywhere from 5'7"-5'8.5" at age 21. Average adult male height in Canada, US and UK is only 5'9", so chin up~
