Which do you prefer?
I prefer Steam, because unlike EA's Origin, it works on Mac OS...and Steam actually works.

There's absolutely no comparison. Steam simply wins.

Oh dear God. Origin.
Makes me want to cry just hearing the name. I don't understand how that got past the planning stage, such an unreliable glitchy piece of shit.

Eww Origin is so bad, EA tries to hard to replicate things. They should just sell their new games on Steam and forget Origin. Origin only sells EA games, while Steam sells games from every developer imaginable.

First thing I thought was what the hell is Origin? I'd automatically vote Steam as a Mac user but from what people have posted here, Origin seems really shitty anyway, lol.

Origin is the synonym of the word "fail" /thread.

As Brandon said, there's virtually no difference between the two platforms. However, Origin is an incredibly glitched and poorly coded program that promotes the excessive use of DRM on its users. Then again, Steam has held the PC digital market for years now, and will be turning 10 next year. It has a firm grip on the PC platform and almost all PC gamers have a Steam account.
My choice is Steam. Valve had a marvelous idea for realizing that digital distribution of games is the future of gaming as a whole, and Steam is the total goal for doing that. Origin is almost a carbon-copy of Steam with much more restrictions on user rights. EA made Origin as a money grab, and that's all there is to that program.

Is Battlefield online actually decent? I've heard so many mixed reviews.

Well I've never even heard of Origin, and from what I've read here I'm not sure I want to. Steam definately.

Steam hands down. Origin is more focused on making money, while Steam is more oriented to enhancing the users experience. The sales on Steam are also unheard of (ie. Steam Summer Sale)

Battlefield online for consoles is decent. Could be better, could be worse. The PC online, however, is full of jack-offs.
