Hi, I don't know if there's already a thread about this, so I'll just make this one. I'm 13 and have a visible "mustache", and it's not like tiny hairs, it's actually starting to look like a mustache. However, I want it to grow out more, so should I shave it, or just keep it?

I understand now how that sounds weird. What I meant is that I read somewhere that if you shave your mustache, it will grow back bigger, same with other facial hair. Is it true?

What you do with your own facial hair is entirely your decision, unless you need to do something with it because of work or school. But with regards to your above post; that's a common misconception, shaving doesn't stimulate growth - it just makes it seem like it's thicker and darker because of the rough edges that you've made because you've shaved.

Well , your going to have to shave it sooner or later. It will get thicker, that's just how it works . Lol I would do it now, before it gets VERY noticeable. Cuz then when you do shave it, pple will be like, " aww you shaved! And give you shit about it

No, almost everyone in this thread is wrong. It is 100% scientifically proven that it WILL NOT grow back thicker.

Shave it, it looks cool to you, but you actually look like a dirty Mexican! Plus it's not thick enough too, so if you grow it out more....you just look even stupider! You need to shave and shave so it gets thicker...but that won't be for a while.

Also don't use an actual razor and shaving cream, it's a waste of time! For the few years that you have yr Mexican stash, just use an electric razor and whenever little stubble comes up just use it and it's gone in 4 seconds! That's all that I have learned, hope it helped

Ohhh ya....and that! I kept it for a while and, well, everyone noticed. Once I finally shaved it everyone was like "Holy shit! You finally shaved, that thing was so gross...sorry but it's true." that's what I got from everyone.....and I do mean everyone.

If you shave it, it'll look like a normal mustache, but if you leave it, it'll be thin hairs. So I'd shave it if you want a normal mustache.

Honestly I want the mustache, but according to Giles, shaving it won't make it grow back bigger. I get that it will sort of look weird being 13 and having a mustache, but I don't have any arm pit hair, so I need a mustache to brag about.

Exactly my thoughts. Shave it off. It may look awesome to you because you're finally growing facial hair however it makes you look bad.

I would shave a mustache cause don't personally like it but sometimes a volt trimmed scruff is hot!
