Thought I'd post what I've been up to for the afternoon as I realized I don't think any of you have really seen anything I've drawn before... well, other than rare occasions when I'll link to something in chat or maybe do a quick doodle.

For the record, this drawing is obviously far from done, haha. I've also never taken a drawing class in my life so usually anything I draw is mediocre at best. I don't really draw for much of a reason other than boredom.

I'll start with the reference then the earliest scan I took of my sketch.

The reference was not being used for the exact pose, mostly just for small details.

Second scan, started adding details to eyes and eyebrows and started on her outfit, cheek bones look too defined due to not having started on them properly yet, started on nose:

Third scan, more detail to eyes and ear, started on basics of hair shape:

Fourth scan, worked on corrected hair/neck shape, started on hair detail tests (hard to see from scans), finishing some eye makeup details...

I've been working on this for approximately two hours now. I'll prolly be at it all night knowing me. I have days where I can draw but I also have days where I can draw and it all seems to be working out and today is one of those days... I want to finish it while I can, lol.

I'll post more as I work on it. I wish scanning my drawings looked as good as in person but it may just be my scanner settings which I'll adjust later.

Whoa, you're a far better artist than I am and I took art for two years, lol. I personally love the drawing; and ME2. Can't wait to see more as you progress, keep that awesome artistic skill up! :D

Holy shit, Jo. You are an amazing artist. A billion times better than me (I'm not very good though :P) But you are really an awesome artist, Jo. That picture looks like the quality that my art teacher would do. I love it

The "finished" product is sitting on my dresser. I have a feeling I'll be working on it more though when I have the time, haha.

Really good. Try bringing more attention to the eyes unless your doing it stylised since the photo has most attention there at least that's what I'd do :)
