So at the moment, I'm not over weight at all, but I have a slightly flabby stomach. Nothing too major, but I was wanting some tips on how to get a more muscly stomach, maybe even a six pack. At the moment, the only sport I play is tennis, but I play usually about twice a week, an hour lesson and a 2-3 hour match. I HATE running and we don't have any exercise equipment. I eat fairly healthily, a fair bit of fruit and veg, but I'll also have my fair share of sweets etc. although I'd say that I eat more healthily than most of my friends.
So bearing that in mind, what else can I do/what can I change? Open to any tried and tested suggestions :) Can you also say roughly how long it is before it'll start to be noticeable??
Thanks :D

Core work, core work, core work! Tennis isn't going to do much on your core after a while. You can try Insanity Ab workouts , those are really intense.! But if youu do lets say core work 3 times a week and having a moderate to good diet you can see difference in 2-3 weeks .

What is a core workout? What do I do and for how long?? is there a particular core workout schedule that I should work to with exercises etc.?

Pushups don't help with abs^
You shouldn't just target one area though, you should be focusing on all major areas.
What someone said before about core workouts and good food is correct, but if you have fat, cardio is more important. You should be doing 30 mins of cardio a day at least, plus core workouts and good food.

you should do cardio exercises if you want to lose fat
and really, the best one would be running; 45 minutes of activity, several days a week
if you want abs, you should do ab workouts on top of running

 Actually pushups do help abs , during a pushup abs are used to stabilize the body .
N if youu do a harder variation pushup more of the core is required c:

Get youself an exercise ball sit on it and put your feet against a wall flat on the ground. Then begin doing a sit up action when your starting off do maybe 3 sets of 20/25 then turn onto your side on the medicine ball with your feet against the wall and slide your top half of your body up and down do the same amount. Then turn onto your stomach and do an anti sit up action for the same amount. Make sure if your trying to build on section of your core you build up the other parts equally or you will get a bad posstiure :)

You're right that certain variations of push ups may help the abs (as some of them work similar muscles as exercises such as planks) but normal push ups do not help abs. Using a muscle to stabilize isn't working a muscle, muscles stabilize the body day in and day out. It is an arm and chest exercise, and helps upper body more so than core and abs.

Clean diet, jump rope or cardio, and healthy eating. "Abs are made in the kitchen".
Incorporate all body workouts, compound exercises, no isolated exercises.

A good start is to eat healthy foods and get enough sleep!
