I love it, except for when people try to turn it into tumblr, like the guy above me mentioned. But other than that it's awesome. I love it.

I don't see how Instagram can turn into tumblr... i mean, Instagram is a photo sharing site, and tumblr is a blogging site with more than pictures.
With that being said, yes, I use Instagram. I like it, it's cool to see what goes on in the lives of people I follow that they usually don't talk about face to face, and the filters add some uniqueness to photos. Especially like, storm clouds, and you add a filter, makes it look meaner and stuff. :P
I try not to do more than two pictures a day, because then it feels like i'm a photowhore.

I agree with your points, but just because people take photos and use one of the effects doesn't mean they think they are pro photographers, thats like painting a wall in your house and thinking you're an artist.

And honestly, i've never used tumblr, but i've always thought it was a blogging site, and is kinda the same as twitter? idk

i like IG because even without the effects, you can see some good photos, and if you follow anyone that you are inspired by, maybe someone famous or a youtube celebrity or something, you can see what they're getting up to and stuff.

I think Instagram is great, and i've only actually had it like 2 days haha :P

All my friends who use Instagram mess around with each other and call it "Hipstergram". By no means I call myself a photographer just because I can use a phone camera and add a filter to it :P
I think of it as a simple photo sharing site, kinda like a twitter with pictures maybe? But yeah, real photographers use cameras. They take time and money to be a great photographer, and all that stuff. I might not be an expert photographer with my camera, but, hey, it helps kill time, and practice makes perfect :)

Since I have a Windows Phone I don't 'technically' have one; however, the app I use, InstaCam, is linked with InstaGram and integrates with it so it pretty much is the same thing.

Also, what are your views on instagram? anyone dislike it for any reason? I actually do photography myself and personally I HATE it. I have no idea why but it just doesn't seem natural! I do Photoshop occassionally though but most of my photos are raw and best seen that way.
