A friend of mine told me that it's legal to be a pornstar in 18 years old but you can legally buy beers in 21 years old. Is that true and if yes,I want to learn how is that even normal for a huge country like US :confused:

AFAIK, you can't buy alcohol till you're 21.
You can film a porn at 18. However the two laws are not connected, so I don't really see why comparing them.
You can also drive at 15 in some states, 16 in others... Which is a rarity in the world since most other states are 18+ to seat behind the wheel...

I think you should be able drink when your 18. If you can sig your life away to the military you should able to have a drink before you leave

The legal drinking age is 21.
The legal national age is 18.
It's normal because youths had to fight for their right to vote at the age of 18. They were sick and tired of being drafted at 18 without having any voting power. War without say basically. The legal age used to be the same as the drinking age.
Also different states have different ages for different things, different counties have different curfews too.

True as well, but the common argument I hear is that if you can go to war at 18, why can't you have a drink at 21? I personally don't care about the 21 drinking age, seeing as I don't want to be around alcohol at all, after the shit I just escaped.

And I, like most people that have posted here, believe that once you are an adult and have the voting and military rights of an adult, you should be able to drink. You can buy tobacco products at 18, why not alcohol?

In Pennsylvania it's legal to drive without a license if you work on a farm and driving is an important part of the job. Not from State College to Pittsburgh or anything, but around the farm, moving equipment, etc.

Sex is not something that inhibits growth & development, regardless of the substantial impact it can have on one's life. Scientifically speaking, 21 is a low age to consume alcohol. Small amounts most likely dont have a huge impact, if any, but that's not just each time you drink, it's all the times combined

That's because you're 13 and have no idea what you're talking about. Enlisting and serving are two completely different things.

Im 15 and i do know exactly what im talking about. It doesnt matter you usaully get shipped out after you complete training if theres a war. Why cant i go to the bar and have a drink if im gonna go to a foreign place and possibly not come back?
