I actually tend to do mine as soon as possible. I hate the rush you have to go through when doing assignments at the last minute. Plus you never no if you are doing yourself justice if you end up rushing it and doing it at the last minute.

I may be a procrastinator, but I'll never save any big assignments to the last day. Maybe a revision of something, or a minor part of an assignment, but not the whole thing.
The way I look at it is, if you finish it sooner, then there is no more stress to get it in on time, and you will have more free time. It doesn't really matter "when" per se I have that time, so I'd rather get an assignment done first, and then be done with it, instead of having free time (or doing other school related things) up until the very last moment possible.

I, like Derri, tend to do mine ASAP, with the exception of huge projects where we get weeks to do them. Those, I leave very late thanks to the procrastination factor being harder to fight ("I have three weeks... okay, two. Well, I've still got a whole week left. By which I mean four days... I'm fucked.")
Next year, though, we get homework that's due on the next day, so basically every homework assignment will be done at the last minute. I'm personally terrified.

I am exactly like Alex. Homework is done the day it's assigned for me. Projects......... Well, they usually don't even get touched until at least the last few days. I know it's not the best idea, but I'm being honest :P

Really? The rush it my favorite part. For me its like an adrenalin thing. Leaving it until the last minute stresses me out, but I tend to get better grades if I procrastinate. At my old school we used to have 10 minutes between classes; guess when I used to do my assignments..

I pretty much always write my papers the night before, sometimes in studyhall the day it's due and I typically get 100% on every paper. I do all my best work under pressure. Otherwise I get lazy and don't put much effort into it.

When i say assignments by that i mean projects (week long tasks) but i like to see the difference and agree with BrittneyB on:

I try not to, but it's part of my learning disorder. I misjudge how long stuff takes to complete, and usually it's much longer in actuality than I estimate it. So I put it off unti really sometimes the morning it's due to finish it...yeah. :P

That's my goal for this year, though: Homework immediately when I get home, and projects a little by little each day. And use my 504/IEP when I need it.

Yeah. Always. I always leave it till the last day and sometimes I forget until one of my friends remind me its due. Then I find a spare piece of paper and quickly write down.

I do all my work within a few days of it being due. I actually have a project I was supposed to do over the summer waiting for me to do right now, and it's due in almost a month, which is a very short amount of time for such a big project

I start papers late at night before it's due. I finish the paper in the library at school. This is only because I've had terrible experiences with my parents proofreading my papers. Lots of yelling some hitting and I usually have to start over. I get yelled at Til 2 am. Naturally I now do all my papers in secret

I do maths when I get it because its usually quite an enjoyable piece a chapter of questions or something. I do chemistry the day I get it too its usually just question or an analysis of an experiment we did.
However RS and History I leave till the free periods before the lesson its usually note taking and I just can't be bothered to do it at home.
General studies is never done cause its basically not a subject.

Last year I was really good at getting projects done ASAP! And it helped sooo much, I had much more time to do what I wanted and everything was less stressful, especially because I had 54+ projects in the first quarter (I got bored and stopped counting at 54). Hopefully I can keep it up!

I don't really do my homework, but I do some. When I have projects I usually work on em the night before. I have done so many assignments at the last minutes. But I have terrible study habits.
