what I mean by the title is of course the talk about sex, masturbating bla bla you guys know what I mean right? Your dad talks to you about sex and masturbating what you should know and all.

So what I'm asking is did anyone else got it left out?

I'm currently 18 and my dad never gave me the talk about sexual stuff basically I needed to learn everything myself, looking from net maybe sometimes even from porn and teen forums or talking to my friends or just listening while they talked stuff.

Basically none gave me the talk ever and I'm sure no body will I'm pretty much too old for that haha

so anyone else got "left out" ? or would you say spared even?

My dad never gave me the talk because I told him I knew things about sex or masturbate so it would be kinda useless to talk about that and he said ok

I haven't told him anything haha

tho he seems to respect that if I keep my door closed he doesn't knock or disturb in anyway.

You're lucky, my parents interrupt me all the time sometimes they don't even knock the door and its kinda annoying because I don't have a lock ...

My mom or dad never gave me the talk. I don't really have a very good relationship with my dad so that is probably why. I kind of feel left out a little bit, but I don't care too much. If I were closer to him I probably would feel differently.

I'd say me and my dad are in good relationship I think at least from my view...and I think he'd say the same

don't you have sex ed really early on in Finland? (i'm sure i heard that) maybe he thought school had it covered so he didn't need to say anything? if you really really want to talk to him about it, just do it.

Maybe on like..5-6th grade or something but it doesn't cover everything at least I don't remember much about it. Later on 8-9th graders I think. That was more detailed and better I remember it.

But yea guess he though it like that but it left out some stuff.

maybe i am thinking about another country then. i think it was something i watched on tv, where they started sex ed at 4 or 5. Primary 5-6 was when we started sex ed here, so about the same as you. except i went to catholic school then, so the sex ed was next to useless.

you know what, why don't you just say, hey dad, how come you never gave me the talk? and see what he says.

I never got "the talk" from my dad. I actually had a conversation with this with some of buddies a couple weeks ago. All of them said that they never have any sort of talk with their dads about sex, jerking off, etc. Honestly, I don't think it's as common anymore for people to actually get "the talk." Most people, at least people that I know, learn it from Sex Ed in school or they learn it on their own.

My dad never gave me the talk. I don't think he would be comfortable talking to me about sexual stuff, especially after I told him I was gay...

My dad talked to me about jerking off but I thought it was useless since I've been doing for 3 years already.

Honestly sed ed here is pretty useless it only covers how you've sex with a girl it tells all the dangers of how girl get's pregnant and stuff like that. They don't tell anything about gay/lesbian sex at all. It just makes me feel like they don't care about it at all. Using condom in gay sex is same important as in straight sex. Before you say that "but guys can't get pregnant" bla bla, ya so what? you can still get sex diseases and bacteria from the guy's ass that isn't suppose to be at your penis.

Other thing is that it doesn't tell how guys/gals masturbate not a word from it. I once met a guy who was 17 and he had never masturbated before and he honestly had no idea how to do it.

If you but sex ed in short terms it's this: How to have safe sex with a girl and what are sex diseases. That's it, at least here.
