I got a little Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS18 camera for my birthday and decided to test its landscape abilities. :)
These simple photos were taken of my favourite beach where I live at like 6:30AM. Tell me what you think/how I could edit them/what to do next time for better quality. Thanks guys!

These are awesome! So atmospheric, I love it! Did you use a filter for the second one?
Just a little suggestion, maybe cropping the top of the first one a little would help to keep the buildings on the third line instead of in the center.

Nice pictures! South Africe is a hell of a lot prettier than Indiana haha. I don't know much about photography, though, but I think they're pretty good.

These are really good shots, I think the first is the best, however one way that it could be made better is to get the sun in focus rather than the plant life in the foreground, I would if you were to take the picture again, consider not including the plants at all, it kind of distracts from the image a bit.

Thanks Alex! No, no filters or special effects here yet. Do you mean I should remove a bit of the sky in the second one?

Thanks Sam. I totally agree on this, and I actually wanted the focus on the surfers and have the plants out of focus. Is this better then?

That is a lot better, just it is to fuzzy around the top, try cropping as well

I disagree. I don't mind the cropping but the blur on the bottom is unnatural and distracting. It looks Photoshopped and takes away from the photo.
Only thing I'd suggest is straightening the images so the horizon isn't slanted like in the second two photos.
I think the first photo is fine, the sun is the focal point regardless in my mind.
Beautiful spots to take photos.
EDIT: One more thing, maybe on the second photo, up the contrast a tad? The buildings almost blend in a little bit too much. I love the amount of blue but it does take over the greys.

I agree totally, I had already said about the blur before hand, I was just referring to the crop
