1) How does that rep even reflect what you asked?
2) I assume that most view Atheism as "spawns of Satan" and "pieces of shit" with no humanity who is going to break into your house, eat all of the food out of your fridge, then have sex with your car. Spot on?

But seriously, those people can go fuck themselves, because they probably haven't found the time to get to know an Atheist, and they definitely aren't "perfect" themselves. Cough..queer chasers and beaters...cough.

Also, it's a huge generalization to say either a) religious people hate atheists or b) atheists don't hate religious people. I have seen ample evidence to the contrary of both statements.

Both the religious and atheists have to deal with people judging them and their views. This has been going on for many years and it's nothing new. Religious persecution goes on virtually everywhere, and people judge others on their religious beliefs or lack thereof. I have no doubt people are rude when it comes to your beliefs versus theirs, but I'm pretty sure being atheist in Texas doesn't make you the lowest of the low.

I was exaggerating but for the most part it is true that in my class if I said "I'm Atheist" then that would make basically the entire class turn against me

While religious people may be bashed, I'm amused that the religious bash me. I thought their bible said not to judge, that was god's duty, or to treat others with love. I'm not one to go out and go after their religion until they don't get I truly do not appreciate them shoving their bible down my throat. I'm a live and let live. One woman was so upset that I refused to take the bible she was giving me, she sprinkled holy water in my face. Luckily my parents have contacted the church about her for basically harassing me. But geez.

I once went to church with my friend most uncomfortable experience of my life but yeah some of them think its there way or your evil

Meh, people tend to hate people that are different than them. I don't think it's really anything personal, they just don't understand you and don't know how to deal with that. That's really all it comes down to. There are plenty of atheists that hate religious people as well. I'd say just try not to let it get to you.
