True there's sometimes some perverted people there, or some immature kids (literally kids or teenagers), but how often do they actually do or say anything to make people uncomfortable. I also don't really understand the people that wear clothes in public showers; sure you might be a bit shy, but just keep your back to people - there's no way you can effectively wash with speedos or shorts on.

I do it all the time after dive practice. It's the communal type with no dividers but it's not as bad as you might think. The only thing to fear is how many saggy, old men are going to be in there......seriously they are disgusting

I do whenever I need to. It's not something that I love to do, but I'm not gonna wait until I get home to shower just because my gym has public showers. There are little dividers, but you can see people across the room from each other. Everybody is just there to shower and get out, so they mind their own business and its not a big deal.

I do but then I swim and play octopush heaps so you get used to it. My 3 or 4 closest buddies would bot mind either, communal showers or individual one. But lots of guts have a problem but I think it is really just that they are not used to it. Like we had a new classmate at school and he just got really hot and embarressed at school showers and sadly some guys were teasing him as he was circumsised. Anyways he wanted to gi swimming with me and a few close buddies - we just all change together and never use cubilces but it was that he had loads of body hair - but he saw that I shaved and trimmed so once he got a trimmer thibg and such, got used too it = he was ok with it as well. At swimming I hate unisex showers - swimwear on. Most times at my local pools its speedos off in the showers and my mates just do the same.

Yeah at school they're communal same with the local gym/pool. I don't care about using them, if you wanna take a look it doesn't bother me. Yes, sure. When me an my dad are going to the swimming pool. After swimming, we are going to the shower. And there's no problem. Everyone's just naked when they are showering (so do i) and after shower just take towels to dry. No one cares that you're naked. Because we are men and there's nothing that any man didn't see.

The closest iv'e been to being in a public shower is when me and my family landed for a connecting flight in Amsterdam and my mom took me into one of those club things and I took a shower in a little indevidual room. (European toilets are way different than ones in america...)

Yeah I use public showers. I use to play sports and the locker rooms were and showers were always packed so I'm used to it. It never bothered me. But if it does bother you, once you've done it a couple of times you won't feel uncomfy anymore.
