Ok, the title basically says it all. I just bought this brand new LG 22" widescreen monitor. It came with a driver CD, and I installed it, but when ever I go to the display properties, it only lets me choose from 4:3 (non-widescreen) resolutions like 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, and etc. I've restarted my computer and everything... I don't know what to do, are there any programs that can get around this or something? By the way, my computer has onboard video, Intel Extreme Graphics or something.

Try upgrading the graphics drivers. If that doesn't work you will hae to get a new gfx card.

my computer has onboard video,
thats the problem there i'm thinking, onboard graphics aren't very good at high resolution past 1280x1078 so buying a PCI should work better

Meh, I wish there was a different way than buying a new card...

What are some cheap video cards that support widescreen resolutions? I don't care how much memory it has.

I've done that but none of them show what resolutions they support.

Check the manufactures website, for example ATI (http://ati.amd.com/).
