So, I'm currently using a Motorola droid 2, and it will not stop freezing on me, I used to have a Htc droid incredible and an Iphone 4, neither of those phones froze on me, so do you think it's just my phone, or do other androids do that? I want to upgrade to either the htc droid incredible 4g or the motorola droid 4 next month, but if they're going to freeze on me I'm not getting any of them.

What are you doing when it freezes? What version of Android are you runnin?

If you are trying to text, and you are running Gingerbread, then freezing is a known problem.

From what i have seen, the HTC Droid Incredible 4g or the Motorola Droid 4 don't freeze.

My droid 2, did that also. I had to factory reset it a few times. I eventually upgradeed and got the HTC Rezound and am quite happy with it.

It just freezes, like I go to unlock it and it's stuck there, and it also does it when I'm texting, and on the web, I was told it was the processor on it, it's been doing this on android 2.2 and 2.3. I'm thinking it might just be this phone model, since my droid incredible never froze on me and the user above me also has the same problem.

First of all, your title is very misleading. It is not a problem with Android phones, it is a problem with one Android phone.

And from what I have read, the Droid 2 had quite a few bugs and was constantly complained about online on forums about that device.

Other than that, you could always switch back to your Incredible for now. I had that phone for almost 2 years and loved it.

Well, my question was if all android phones do this, not just mine, I was just stating that the one that I'm currently using is doing it, and my old one did not.
And I didn't know the droid 2 had all these problems, I didn't even want the phone, so I didn't know if it was just mine, or other android phones that did this.

The problem with Android is that you have a wide array of phones running the OS, so you really need to know which one you want. Cheap ones tend to have worse hardware and are more prone to crashing and being slow. Sadly, I do not care much for what the best Android is. I was lazy and just got an iPhone.

I don't think you should upgrade to another Android. I have a Windows Phone and they're super reliable and extremely fluid. I would suggest an HTC Titan II.

well, verizon doesn't have any windows phones, and we're not switching, I like android, like the layout and everything, you just have to be careful on which phone you buy, the more you spend, the better it will be. I'll probably get the incredible 4g, unless another htc phone comes out soon.

I have a Droid2 with Verizon and have the same problems. I unluck it and will freeze up sometimes and I have to start over again. And it's been lagging alot recently. Also recently sometimes when I tap the screen, it won't respond what I am hitting, atleast not right away. Drives me crazy! Can't wait to get the Galaxy S3.
