Ever since last night I have had the most excruciating pain day and night from my left ear down to my jaw. I can hear fine and it hurts ALWAYS. Not just when u swallow or chew(although chewing does increase the pain). I went to the doctor he said there may be blockage, and to just take pain meds and wait a couple days/do the thing where you hold your nose and blow out to relieve pressure but it's not working! I'm in VERY bad pain and I won't be able to sleep if something isn't done. Does anybody know what to do?!

You should probably go back to the doctor to have them check it out. Maybe you could try an ear, nose, and throat doctor?

Alright..my dad gave me some ibuprofen and ice for the side of my face and it feels progressively better while on ice..I think I might've pulled a muscle while singing

If this does not start to feel better, you need to see a medical professional. Advil and ice won't be able to stop anything possibly serious; only mask the symptoms.

There's no reason to scare someone when you provide zero fact behind your post.

The doctor checked my ear and said there's nothing wrong with it whatsoever, so I don't think that's the problem. It's either oral or muscular

I would venture to guess muscular, but I can't be sure--I'm not a doctor. So, like people have said, be sure to get it checked out. It could be serious, but it could be nothing.

I would have said ear infection, but the doc would have picked it up (Hopefully). The dentist may be able to shed some light on what's doing on.

I believe I pulled a muscle while I was singing (believe me it can happen) and the ice and Advil seem to be helping substantially. Pulled muscles usually work themselves out, thanks for your help guys!

It could be a TMJ problem. If you dont know what that is look it up. I have had it and it's very painful in the upper cheek and into the ear.

I was going to say this to. As i have had an ear infection too. I was told once that if you bent over with your head down if your ear throbed then its signs of an ear infection maybe ask your doctor about it if u see him again.
But if it feels better with ice then its more likely swelling or muscel
