I say no they should be ban thoe of going to Bowl games(or Playoffs in 2years and) and the people who are still alive and knew about what JERRY SANDUSKY did should go to jail with him its sad thoe that Joe Paterno was thougth to be a great coach now hes just with the devil porbely now and everybody else that knew about and told other employees to not tell the cops are going to hell too now I think the Winingest coach should go to ESPN ad said they now I looked in to this history and now found that the rapeing of the young boy that JERRY SANDUSKY did had date back to the 1970s not the 14 years it everybody thought it whent on around that time so I say give the most wins to the winingest coach to Bobby Bowden a great Floirda State coach who was force to retier from coach cuz Florida State was a stupid

Death penalty in sports? This isn't the freaking
Mayans or Aztecs or whatever. When they played a game people call now "hipball", if they lost the game, they would be executed. College sports authorities don't have the right to say "you took steroids? DEATH!" "You like to touch boys? DEATH!". That's not how things work. I hope I read this thread correctly, because this was my first reaction.

I dont think the school or players should get punished in any way, shape, or form. With that said, anyone involved with the coaching, or anyone with authority at the times these were going on, if they knew about them, they should ALL have any teaching/coaching privlages taken away, and charged with child Neglect, among other things.

First off you are incorrect, in the Mayan and Aztecs the winning team was executed because it was a great honor to be sacrificed to their god.

Secondly it's Death Penalty meaning they kill the program, not the people. As in Penn State would no longer have a football program.

As for OP I don't think they should kill the program, it's not fair to all the players. They should do a house clearing and just get rid of any staff associated with Sandusky and rebuild from the ground up.
