For the last two hours I've had increasing pain in my chest,its on the right side and feels like I have a two ton rock on it,as its my chest I'm kinda freaked out,what should I do?go get some sleep and see what happens or should I see a doctor?

Doctor, soon rather then later. Could be a range of things.

Go to a doctor. It could be nothing, but it could also be serious.

If it is what i think, it can be a pulmonary edema, the acumulation on liquids in your chest, that can make an incredible pain in the lungs. It can make you a breeding dificulty. You should go to a doctor right now, i had about 2 L of liquid on my lungs when i had that.

Get some sleep, water and if your coughing it's most likely to be an infection.

The pain seems to be fading now,thank you for all the advice,if the pain returns I will go see a doctor

that actually sounds more like heart burn (a gastrointestinal issue) than anything cardiovascular.

But as everyone said above, go to a doctor. Pain in your chest should never be taken lightly.

Yea if this happened after eating something especially like spicy foods it could be heartburn. but if i were you i wouldn't wait for another episode just because the acute symptoms have past. Make an appointment today because the old don't have a monopoly on heart problem. several times a year kids drop dead after playing sports don't be the next one
