Hey i'm not sure if this is an appropriate question for this thread but I was really hoping to find and answer to this:

My Blu-Ray player has an Ipod doc on the front of it which is great, so I can charge my ipod and play music through my speakers. But what I was wondering was, when I plug it in, I can still go on YouTube and watch videos, but the video wont come on the t.v screen i will just hear the audio. Is there a way to play a YouTube video on the ipod and have it play on the t.v????

Thanks in advance for any answers =D.

The only way to properly mirror your device is with an Apple product. (Surprise).

You can either use an Apple TV (if iPhone or iPod Touch 4G I believe) or use one of their connector cables from iPod charging port to HDMI.

Your blu-ray player can only output audio. As Steven said, pretty much only an Apple product will have the signals to allow the iPod to output video, such as the Apple TV. Theres also a seperate wire that connects the iPod to a video device. Out of curiosity, what is the Blu-ray player model? I'm quite intrigued.

Video is a whole different animal from audio. You should check the documentation that came with your Blu-Ray player, but it probably can't.

You would need the apple a/v cord to output the video.
