You do it a lot because you're a horny teenager with raging hormones, it's normal and nothing to worry about. The urges will subside as you get older and your hormones calm down.

It could be testosterone, or some other kind of hormone that increaces sex drive. It's mainly just a part of puberty - guys in puberty get horny A LOT, I know that feeling :P It'll subside once you get older and your hormones calm down.

There's no real downside to masturbating a lot as long as it doesn't interfere with things like school or making friends and no blood comes out (obviously :P).

I usually just masturbate once a day... I rarely masturbate twice a day... Usually after I masturbate once I no longer feel the urge, and I just feel kind of "sick" if you will... It's hard to explain. I guess you could say I get overwhelmed from one masturbation session, so I no longer feel the need to do it anymore.
