I met my best friend mike in 6th grade, we've been friends for about 4 years now, until recently.
We were texting one night planning shit out for the next day, and i honestly forget what got him so mad, but we started getting into an argument and i didn't feel like dealing with it. So i just said 'cya' and went to bed. I woke up the next day and mike cancelled all the plans and flipped out on me for 'not texting back'.
Now it's been about 3 weeks, and we haven't talked since that day. I feel bad for the kid because i know he's been having some family problems, and now his girlfriend is moving away and he's being kicked out. I want to reach out to him but i'm always sick of being the one to apologize, especially when i didn't do anything wrong.
Whenever one of us would be in a mess we'd help each other out. But now that he basically told me to fuck off, i really don't feel a responsibility to ask if he's okay.
Do you guys think i'm being too harsh in not helping him? What should i do?
