So I have to go through a lot for a perfect smile, my dads wallet sure is paying for it too.
But I currently have braces (I'm estimating 8 more months)
But they also have to do:
Bone augmentation
4 dental implants (they have to put in 4 fake teeth cause my teeth never grew in that are missing)
Veneers
So after they the 4 fake teeth, the bone augmentation, the braces, and the veneers how long until my smile is perfect? Estimates are fine, just not stupid answers. I'm thinking maybe another 1 1/2 years but I'm unsure

I say about two years. Sounds pretty painful. :l I'm sorry you have to go through that all to get the smile you want. I'm sure it was already great before. :) I hope you're happy with the results when it's all over, though! :D Then you can eat everything and smile your butt off at everyone passing. ;)

Well, your teeth will never stop moving so you will have to use your retainer for the rest of your life! Sucks I know....I honestly just stopped using it and don't give a shit abo my teeth. But you should not follow in my footsteps, because you will need braces again! I probably will....so save your dad some money and use your retainer

I had braces from August 2008 - August 2011. I still wear my retainer religiously.

Originally I was suppose to have braces for 2 years, but it went to 3 years. I finally got them off not so long ago, and wearing a retainer, but it's basically patients my friend! Trust the people working on your teeth! And honestly it's worth the wait! It really is!

I'm not entirely sure anyone can give you an estimate. Your teeth will move and it sort of varies between people. I mean, there's all these people who say "WEAR YOUR RETAINER" but I lost mine a few months after my braces came off. It's been five or six years now? My teeth have barely shifted. My teeth were always going to be a bit crooked but they're not practically backwards like the were before.
All I can really say is be patient, take care of them and do exactly as you're told if you want good results. Don't do what I did. :P (Which is basically be the most annoying 10-year-old on earth to have had braces and drive the orthodonist insane breaking them.)

Dude, patience, you need to learn them...talk to your Orthodontist and see what they say, they say 8 months then it is 8 months. They are the experts.
