my dad just told me that he's not going to pay for my college education unless i go to a school that has a church nearby that i MUST attend every week, and that the population of the school doesn't have an excessive amount of "fags" … wtf I WANT TO GO TO AN ART SCHOOL!!!

you can try to talk to him more or look for an art school near by or u can try to apply for a scholarship for the college u want

that really sucks. is there another adult you can talk to about this problem?

does your dad not support your interest in art?

You tell him that it's your own future to control and that you should be choosing your place of study based off your interests and abilities. It's your future, fight for it.

This is where you really need to take a stand. I mean seriously, it is your future and your education. He should not be dictating to you what you should do in later life.

You really need to talk to him about this. I would personally suggest that you explain to him how you feel, tell him regardless of what happens you shall always be a Catholic (I am assuming you are a Catholic) and that you feel your education is very important and you want to follow the career you have in mind and not the one your father dictates to you.
