Soo.... I'm a swimmer on a local team and I wanna buy veet for men for some hair on my body as my swimming coach recommends it for me to be as fast as possible in the water, but my mum sees hair removal as a really gay thing, and she won't let me get it, I hate the stereotypes, I want to get it online but I don't want her to open the package or find it, I have my own credit card so I don't worry about her seeing it on the bill, but should I send it to a friends house etc. what do you think?

Just go to a store and buy it, you can just take a bag with a jacket in, say you're going to a friends/a walk, buy it and then when you get home it'll be done. If you're buying online though then sending it to a friends house might be an idea, if they're okay with it though. Also, I don't know if the mens is any different but veet REALLY stinks. You can smell it for hours after it's been used so I wouldn't recommend getting that if you don't want anyone to know, just a tip.

Yes, you can't hide veet too well once you get it. If you have a friend that's fine with being sent to them, go ahead. Did you explain to your mom that it's for swimming to better yourself at the sport?

Just tell her it's for swim, and it has nothing to do about gays at all. I know a lot of swimmers who are straight, but have to shave their legs for swim.

I have been swimming since I was 8 and mom knows that shaving is recommended almost at any level...i use a razor as most of the guys do...str8 and gay ....she should support what you do to help you compete....if the coach recommends veet then maybe he can tell her or something, but don't go behind her back with that ....she needs to trust you too .....

Yeah ask permission from a friend. listen to me: she will open that package and find it if you send it to your home adress.
Either send it to a friends house with permission ffrom the friend, or buy one at a store. that wont work if your mom like pats you down at the door. (i doubt she does lol)

You can rent a PO Box, but for one purchase it may not be worth it. Just ask your grandparents, usually they are more open minded to purchasing things that your parents may not. Ask them if you can ship a package to their house, and you can choose to tell them what it is or not.

Here's some things I can suggest, sorry if some have been mentioned!
1. Explain to her it is recommended by your swimming coach as it will boost your performance when your swimming, either way your mum should support and except you, without having a stereotype.
2. Go to your local store and purchase then smuggle into the house some way or another using a school bag or large jacket.
3. If you order online, it should be addressed to you, so if your mum respected your privacy she'd let you open it.
4. If you do get it sent to a friends house be sure it's okay with your friends and there parents just incase they get confused on how there getting your packages!
Hope this was of help to you and good luck in getting the product!

I would just let Mum know its for your sport and its not gay Maybe she is worried about how you might be teased or whatever - ask her if you can to say why she says that.
I shave pits and pubes as do my bros - its just more comfortable no probs

I agree with Sean4U its better to be up front and honest with her.
ask your coach to talk to her about it
