embarrassed to show mom

for over a week I have something on my scrotum, it's right where my scrotum meets my penis. It's about the size of a pimple, but not red, it doesn't seem to be going away and I want to see a doctor, but before that I would have to show it to my mom and that would be embarrassing, what should I do?

I suggest showing your mother. I mean it will be embarrassing but chances are she will be concerned for your health. Again this could be nothing. However, when it comes to your health you can never be to careful.

Exactly what Derri said. It may be embarrassing, sure, but it needs to be done. You don't want there to be a serious problem and leave it untreated. It could be nothing, but it is much better for a doctor to tell you it's nothing than us.
Just tell her you want to see a doctor for a personal problem, I'm sure she'll understand.

I showed it to my mom and she's making an appointment with my doctor tommorrow, she thinks it's only a cyst and probably nothing to worry about, but we're getting it checked to make sure. It wasn't as hard to show it to my mom as I thought it would be, I thought I would get an erection or something, but I'm scared about the growth on my scrotum and I think that's what made me able to show it to her without getting an erection.

Don't be embarrassed to show her. I mean, she gave birth to you and she cleaned your scrotum when you were younger. Just tell her and if she asks to see it show her. If you are too uncomfortable, tell her that want to see the doctor for something else. Then when you go, just mention it to the doctor when he is with you alone.

Yup, that happened to me once...I was really scared til one day the hair finally worked its way out, then the swelling went away.

I told my mum I needed to see a doctor, and she wanted to know why too. My mum freaks out about things like lumps or moles anywhere in the body because both my grandparents died fairly young of cancer, so when I told her that there was a lump I wanted to get checked out, of course the first thing she wanted to do was see for herself. I told her 'I need to take my pants off to show you,' and she pressed me for more info a little, but eventually just took me to the doctor and wanted to hear all about what he said. (Turned out to be nothing anyway.)
