Politics!...Just wondering if there's anyone else...

Also if you do what do you wanna run for or as, and on what platform/ideology...?

Me personally, I want to start off as running for a councilman in my city as an independent (or with the SPSA) under a Populist/Socialist platform...

I won't go to college for this for it makes my claim of being Populist better per se...

YES!!!!! Future president of the United States right here :P

I plan to go to college and major in Chemistry, then go to law school. (If, by chance, I don't like law school, I'll get my doctorate in Chemistry instead :P) Mostly because I love to learn.

Platform/ideology? Sure as hell not Republican or Democrat. I'm semi-socialist, not full-fledged, but I believe in it somewhat. I plan to start the Washington Party, holding the ideals of George Washington when he said political parties will only tear this nation apart, (thus, he was the only president to voluntarily not belong to a party.) They CAN be good, but when you have the completely 2 party system like we have in the USA, well, we see how that has gone. All they do is bicker. I believe in elected office being the position of a servant, not a ruler. The people are who you should respond to, not big business or your wallet.

Speaking of which, I plan to start out in the House, then maybe the Senate or governor, and then run for president as soon as I can. Any money I make that I and my family don't absolutely need to live off of, I will donate to charity. I don't need 125,000 a year, and that money could do a lot more good rather than me hoarding it. Also, Andrew Jackson is one of my favorite presidents because, frankly, he was badass :P I don't agree with everything he did, but you can't argue with the fact that he was badass.

Jackson was the most badass followed by Roosevelt (Teddy)...

And yea, me myself fall under the title of "Market Socialist" per se, I've pretty much thought up an entirely new economic model which will fakely create the sense of a fully capitalist economy while retaining complete control over it so nothing can hurt anyone...

That and I plan to run completely on the platfrom of "The People" I ain't gonna wear a suit, (I'm gonna go in wearing a shirt and jeans) I'm gonna take the bear nessessity of the pay and give the rest back to my people...

But cool to find another who actually wants to go into it too

What would you say your goal office is? Sounds like an interesting system! Care to elaborate? I'm very passionate about the people myself :P

My goal is to finally rid this nation of backwards conservative idiocy...and to have a 'common sense' government ie

Citizen- "I hate gay marriage!!!"
Government- "Then don't marriage your sex..."

Citizen- "I think abortion is wrong!!!"
Government- "Then don't get one..."

Hahaha that sounds all too familiar. My school is really conservative, so... yeah I'm somewhat liberal, i.e. I support gay marriage, semi-socialist, etc. So I stick out like a sore thumb there :P

Oh no, we have a Republican governor, Republican controlled state House, Republican controlled state Senate, 2 Republican US Senators, and a lot of Republican US Representatives haha. In general, people in my town are sick of both parties though. Probably because we hit rock bottom when GM left in the 90s and neither party has helped :P And yes, Texas seems to be that way... Although I do like Ron Paul :P The only Republican candidate who even remotely made sense

Ron Paul- Libertarian which is bad (completely against regulation O.o)
He also wants to reinstate the gold standard which will destroy our economy in one sitting
And wants to eliminate a central bank (albeit the private Fed should only be REPLACED with a stateowned one) a central bank is essential to communism/socialism

Yes, yes, I understand that. I was referring more to the removal of our troops overseas and the whole defense budget being used for actual defense, not for military bases in other countries just 'cause.

I think the military for defensive purposes is ok. But all our offense and the "War on Terror" and in Iraq and Afghanistan, yeah, that's ludicrous. Who would you say you favorite president is?

FDR- 2nd Bill of Rights, 'nuff said...too bad he died, we'd have it if he lived,
Worse- W. Wilson- Created the Fed and admitted he screwed over the American people...

Best/Worse for you...?

Best is so freaking hard for me haha. Um... I consider Washington, Lincoln, and FDR as "super presidents" (1 a century) because Washington set the precedent for every other president we've had, he didnt even want to be president, and refused their offer to make him king. Lincoln held the union together in one of the darkest moments in American history, and FDR, well, that's enough said right there. So, not counting them... I'd have to say Teddy Roosevelt. (I am a big fan of Truman and Lyndon Johnson, but while they were great in domestic policy, both had big failures in foreign policy, Truman being Korea and Johnson being Vietnam.) Favorite person who WOULD'VE been president if he hadn't been assassinated and who would've been my favorite president aside from the big three-- Robert F. Kennedy, hands down.

Worst- Harding or Buchanan. Harding did nothing except corrupt the government (from people taking advantage of him), Buchanan sped up the arrival of the Civil War greatly. Close, though.
