I know sending sexually-related photographs and videos through phones is illegal under 18 or 21, but is texting words only? I haven't done it myself, but I plan on talking about masturbation and sizes to my cousin a few states away, and we can't do it in person, since we have big families and we're never alone. Is texting subjects such as masturbation and penis sizes illegal under 18/21?

Well, if we look at the term ''underage porn'', porn is broken down from pornography and pornography in another term is pornographic. Basically anything that's pornographic and under the age limit is considered child porn. Text messages are technically illegal if its >18 years old. But it's fine if you do text about that stuff, everyone does it now. You won't get caught and fined or anything. The government only prosecutes people who are considered pedophiles (over the age of 18) who have hundreds or thousands of images and videos of underage material, NOT teenagers who want to talk with girls like there own age.

You're safe to do that, no one is being harmed and both parties are consenting.
