I'm just wondering.
And why do you believe in the religion you believe in? Why is that the "true religion". What's wrong with the other religions?

nothing is wrong with other religions, Christianity just makes the most sense to me.

Hm..good question. I'd never really thought of it before recently. I believe in God. I don't really have a reason not to. I was raised in a Baptist household, but that doesn't really matter. I consider myself Christian. No denomination, just Christian. I look up to Jesus. I believe he came to earth for two purposes. Most people only think about the whole dying for our sins part. That was one, but I also believe he came here to show us how to do it. That it could be done. That we could live, and be good people. I believe God exists because I feel him. That's all I got for ya. My faith.
As far as the "true religion", I dunno. Most of the major religions, as far as I know, focus on loving others, and being a good person. So I guess love is the true religion. The only way to be happy is to love.

Hmmm I don't believe in God. I did when I was younger because I was raised in a Christian family (for the most part) and I guess it was expected of me. I no longer believe in God, and I don't have a problem with religion whatsoever. People should have the right to believe what they want, but it's when they negatively influence and/or judge others that I have a problem with.

Because those are the beliefs he was brought up around and grew up learning. Like it or not thats how the majority of the population works.

Because I'm a believer. Now the question I get a lot from non believers is where is the proof? Well it's hard for a lot of people to believe because they need proof, or they need to see it. And yeah I totally respect people who think that, because sometimes we do need proof to see if it's real, but in my belief you need to believe. Now I know that may sound silly for non believers, but if you believe God will do amazing things to you, which to us is the proof he is real!, which makes us believe him even more. But yeah I mean I respect the people who don't believe, as I have a close friend who is a non believer. I mean I may not agree with her since we believe in two completely different things, but I do understand why she isn't a believer and respect her. And she also respects me a lot, and she encourages me to believe it or not! She encourages me in my belief, because she wants to see me happy, as I want to see her happy!

I am Catholic....and I have been one since birth. It fits me closely even though I disagree with a lot of the stuff they have to offer...I'm actually even questioning if God exists. It makes me sad, but I'm still confused. So for me I honestly hate how people are so different. Why do some atheists hate religious so much? I feel as though I'm 50/50....I believe in God while also I don't believe in Him. Any questions?

Hahah true religion is also a brand :P
I believe in god because it's what I was raised with, it's also a better way to think, like I'd rather believe I go to heaven than just be in a hole in the ground.

There is just something to it that I just cannot explain. After being an atheist for my first several years, I was just not feeling the love from being one. One day an atheist that I knew was going off on a rant about Christians, saying how ridiculous and hate filled they were. So I looked into it. Read about Jesus and stuff, and found that there was a lot more love in following Jesus than I could ever experience as an atheist. It's not about bombing abortion clinics and hating gays (even if you disagree with the lifestyle). I went to church one day to check things out, and I never felt so loved and welcomed in my life. It was then I became a Christian. It was like my life fell into place. I am now active in the youth group, which are the best. I am so much more happy with my life now than I have ever been.

I was raised as a christian, however I started to drift away from the religion as I grew older. When I was 3 my mom had a brain tumor. She was given one month tops to life, yet she had a successful surgery against all odds, and survived, and is still alive today. When I was 8, she had another brain tumor. When the pathologist did a preliminary examination of the tumor, he said he was 100% positive it was cancerous. The next day, he did a second check to make sure, and he told us that he could not explain what had happened overnight, because somehow in less than 8 hours a cancerous tumor had become benign. When I was 14, she had a third brain tumor which also looked cancerous, however at her third MRI appointment, it was inexplicably gone. I believe that humans can not believe anything until we see something that our mind sees as proof. The whole situation with my mom is something that I can only rationalize as my personal proof. There have been other instances, but this is the big one for me. I believed, and still do believe, that I witnessed a miracle. And for me, this is the best proof I could ever wish for.

Honestly I believe that subconsciously this is the main reason for people believing in God, or Gods or whatever they believe in. With our mortality comes the fear of being insignificant, that we live our time on Earth as a tiny blip and when it's done, it's done. People don't like to think that they will work so hard just to die and it's over. People want the security of knowing that there is more then just this.

Mormon here.
Um...testimony?
well to be brief i know my church is true because it is.
what makes me think so? well for starters i believe my religion is true because we have a living prophet, we can receive direct counsel from the holy ghost by the laying on of hands, we have the new ordained priesthood that is taught and we learn about instead of going to school for. I like how my religion honors our past, looks forward to the future, and takes care of those who need it.
Another point is we do not believe anything outside of the bible is horrible and must be burned at the stake. I believe in evolution, a big shockers to those who are christians in my town and think i am christian, i believe in the big bang and other works of science including cloning, genetics, and man made evolution of species.
(playing god?) no, the reason me and others have, if Heavenly Father has given us a brain to use, why not use it? He trusts us enough to use our powers for good, not just for us but for others. When we start to go by paths that are not by his works he will let us know by direct intervention or intervention of those around us.
I am Joseph named after the Joseph Smith and i know my church is true by the actions i have witnessed and by the love that prevails throughout the church. i know that someday i will live and see my family again through righteous living by me and them, i also believe that when and if i do go off the path i can repent and mend my actions. i am here to learn about god, and his works, from apples to zucchini, Aerospace to xenobiology. I will live rightiously and help those in need. I know these things to be true and that the book of mormon is true, and that our living prophet is the one true prohpet. in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

i dont believe theres anything wrong with other religions. i have a very open mystic faith, which i believe all honest religions to be an expression of, and one can find truth by any path if they seek with honesty and devotion.
i believe in god because ive felt him.
