Long story short, I was at one of my best friend's house for the first time, and I was just playing his Xbox. And, out of nowhere, he just goes "Let's do it."
Of which I said no.
And then for the rest of the day and next he seemed sad and mad at himself, as if he was embarrassed for asking. I called him later that day, and tried my best to let him know he shouldn't feel bad for asking, but he was still sad when we got off the phone.
My question is, will he still be okay? 'Cause I accidentally told myself that he'll be fine by the next day, yet I'm kinda worried he'll still feel resentment towards himself :/

(P.S. I also apologize if this isn't the place to ask this...)

We really can't tell you how he feels or whether he's gonna be ok. Although I think you should talk with him face-to-face and just explain that it was ok, you just didn't want to do it and there's no hard feelings. Tell him that he shouldn't be so mad at himself and reassure him.

That's really all you can do. A face-to-face convo in private is soo much better than on the phone since it's a lot more personal and you're taking the time to talk to him on that level :)

Yeah I agree with Zach. He's obviously embarrassed and might feel ashamed for what he did. As long as you assure him that you're fine and even say we can pretend it never happened, I think it'll resolve nicely. You just have to break the ice and get it out into the open, preferably face to face.

alright, thanks. Thing is though, he lives, like real far from my house, and I was only over there coming home from the nearby mall.

And yeah, I think I did plenty of reassuring that he shouldn't feel bad.
Well, he did call and we did talk about it, and he said that he didn't feel ashamed anymore.

Thanks! ^__^

its better you say no, and feel bad, than say yes, and hate him and feel as if you have been robbed

We don't care. This thread is about helping him in this situation, not what any of us would have done.
