Hey,

My friend really enjoys playing the free version of minecraft, and I would really like to buy him the full version as a surprise. I don't really care that it costs £17, but my problem is that they only accept credit cards (and I dont have one). I have also looked around for people selling gift codes for BTC and have come to the conclusion that its too risky (ie there have been a lot of scams).

Anyone else been stuck in a similar situation or have any suggestions for me? I have real cash and some on a PAYG phone (and BTC)

Ask your parents to gift it for him, and give them the money. Then he can just buy minecraft with the code you give him in a voucher. Or you could give the money to his parents and let them buy it for him.
Also, you live in the UK so you can apply for a Halifax ExpressCash card, or a Lloyds TSB under 19's account, or other banks offer this too, and you will receive a debit card, which can be used online.

Thanks for the reply but my parents are not keen on my spending money on other people. He asked me awhile ago to buy him an account and he would pay me back later, we didnt realize that the price had gone up to £17 and he said he couldnt afford that so he told me not to bother
